Rules & Regulations

Following legislation is only one part of social policy and its impact on Missourians. It is important also that the various departments hear how their implementation of the legislation will affect those in our State. One way to voice both support for as well as opposition to the way a bill is implemented is through the rules and regulations hearing process.

Rules and regulations for Missouri departments are published through the Secretary of State’s office and the Missouri Register. These proposed rules are published on a bi-monthly basis and have a period of time for persons to give comments prior to implementation.
