Ellinger is Appointed (2009-10-16)
From Gov. Jay Nixon's Office: "The Governor has appointed Rory Ellinger (D), age 67, of University City, to the Missouri Health Facilities Review Committee. The committee, which administers the Certificate of Need statute, has as a mission of cost containment through health cost management, assurance of community need and the prevention of unnecessary duplication of health care services.
"Ellinger is an attorney in private practice with his own law firm. He served for four years on the board of the Missouri Foundation for Health, the state's largest health foundation, and is a current board member for the Crider Foundation, the largest mental health organization in St. Charles, Warren and Franklin counties. Ellinger has served on several volunteer boards for civic and community organizations. The Governor has appointed him for a term ending Jan. 1, 2010."
Ellinger is a past MASW board member who still serves on the Endowment Fund Committee, and a contributor to our fundraising efforts. Our congratulations to Rory on his appointment.
